Avail's 1st trip to Urgent Care

Avail had her first trip to Urgent Care and her first IV last night. She had been running a high fever for 2 days and had started throwing up. When her fever reached 105 degrees I took her in. They started an IV on her right away and gave her anti-nausea medicine. Then they tried to put a catheter in her, but she peed on the nurse before she could do it. They found Avail had a Urinary Tract Infection. They filled her up with fluid and antibiotics for over 2 hours. After we got home, Avail's fever finally broke. She is feeling better today and I hope I can sleep better tonight!
